“Super Slunks” is a collaboration between Sydney and Logan Haik who are siblings from San Juan Capistrano, California. Sydney is a 19-year-old artist studying graphic design and commercial music at Concordia University Irvine, and Logan is 16 years old, plays club volleyball for Mentor Volleyball Academy and is on the Varsity Volleyball team for San Juan Hills High School.
When the theme for the 2025 Slunks Design Contest was announced as 80s Retro Revival, Sydney and Logan immediately began brainstorming on a design that showcased Logan‘s passion for volleyball and Sydney‘s obsession for all things 80s… whether that’s design or music! It did not take them long to create “Super Slunks“ which was Logan‘s idea inspired by his love from Marvel comics when he was younger. This sparked Sydney to craft a design that leaned in on elements of the comic book art form. With strong direction from Logan, Sydney created the storyboard graphics of “Super Slunks”!
